Social Assistant for the listening and support unit

This role is part of a listening and support unit that operates independently within an academic institution. The unit was established under a decree from a regional government, aimed at ensuring the prevention, support, and protection of students against all forms of harassment, gender-based and sexual violence, and discrimination in higher education.

What you do

  • Provide support to victims, witnesses, third parties, accused persons, and perpetrators.
  • Ensure first-line reception and listening.
  • Refer to appropriate services.
  • Participate in networking and sharing best practices.
  • Prepare for and participate in working group meetings bringing together representatives of the relevant institutional services.
  • Collaborate on prevention and awareness-raising.
  • Provide support and training to relevant services within higher education institutions.
  • Ensure continuous professional development.
  • Report on encountered situations and lead the overall evaluation process of the entire system.
  • Present the system to the decision-making bodies of the academic institution, during potential conferences, meetings, etc.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in social work.
  • Useful experience in supporting victims of gender-based and sexual violence, discrimination, racism, and harassment is an asset.
