Contract Manager
As a Contract Manager, you are responsible for realizing and managing contracts within an organization. You are the link between concluded contract agreements and their execution, continuously translating theory into practice. You ensure that agreements are adhered to, risks are managed, and objectives are achieved. Additionally, you maintain close contacts with clients, execution teams, subcontractors, management, and operational managers.
You provide support in resolving contract-related issues and are alert to market developments. Thanks to your insight and experience, you know how to respond to issues and contribute to optimizing processes and improving collaboration.
What you do
- Analysis, implementation, and safeguarding of contract agreements: You ensure that contract agreements and changes are clearly translated into processes and support the executing organization in their implementation and monitoring.
- Coordination and collaboration: You skillfully maintain contact at operational, tactical, and strategic levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analysis of new contracts: You are co-responsible for analyzing new contracts during the tender phase and advise on opportunities and risks.
- Knowledge sharing: You ensure that the operation has sufficient contract knowledge by organizing training, 1-on-1 sessions, and workshops.
- Advising: You advise on process optimizations and developments that affect contractual agreements.
- Support in disputes: You act as a point of contact for contractual questions and support the operation in preventing and resolving disputes or discussions.
- Co-shaping and building a multi-year plan for the contract management department and disseminating it within the internal organization.
What they ask
- HBO/WO degree (higher professional education/university).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in the industry, preferably as a Contract Manager or a Contract Manager from another technical industry.
- Knowledge of contract forms such as RAW, UAV, or UAV-GC, or the willingness to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Strong project and process management skills.
- Ability to translate legal and public procurement law knowledge into daily practice.
- Sharp analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex matters clearly and accessibly.
- Decisive and resolute work style.
- Good communication skills and a natural way of collaborating.
