Real Estate Advisor BM

A government organization focuses on real estate that fits a modern and growing armed force. This organization is one of the largest real estate managers in the Netherlands, requiring specialized infrastructure. As part of a support command, the need for housing, infrastructure, and real estate services is identified. This is translated into assignments for internal and external suppliers.

Together, they contribute to the realization and management of, for example, ports, airfields, barracks, and nature and shooting ranges. A huge real estate task awaits, where properties must be made future-proof: modern, safe, sustainable, and equipped for the armed force of tomorrow.

What you will do.

  • You will lead a program to co-realize this real estate transformation.
  • You will work at the intersection of strategy, implementation, and collaboration to turn real estate ambitions into reality.
  • You will be co-responsible for realizing programs for revitalizing properties and undertaking large projects.
  • You will co-develop and manage the project, guided by the program manager.
  • You will connect strategic goals (operational readiness, sustainability, work and living quality) with implementation plans.
  • You will be part of the program team and support the program manager.
  • You will work closely with a government agency, market parties, users, organizational units, and other authorities.
  • You will monitor planning, budgets, risk management, and progress, and report on these.
  • You will initiate improvements in processes, methodologies, and collaborations.
  • You will ensure that programs/projects comply with laws and regulations, safety frameworks, and sustainability standards.

What they ask

  • Completed HBO education or university (WO) work and thinking level.
  • Preferably a technical specialization and/or an administrative or business specialization.
  • Knowledge in the field of real estate and facility services and in the field of project management.
  • Insight into organizational, social, financial, technical, economic, legal, or political-administrative matters.
  • Experience in managing and directing (policy) processes and projects.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Excellent command of Dutch.
  • Good command of English (listening/reading and reading/writing).
