A government organization is looking for a legal specialist to handle WOO requests and complaints. You will work in a team and contribute to an open and transparent government.
What you will do.
- Independent handling of WOO requests:
- Assessing documents
- Anonymizing information content
- Timely collection and submission of information for public disclosure files
- Being the point of contact for requesters
- Monitoring legal deadlines
- Drafting (partial) decisions
- Guiding ongoing processes, including the completion of appeal procedures
- Handling complaints:
- Independent handling of informal and formal complaints
- Drafting reports of findings and associated correspondence
- Support for appeal procedures:
- Drafting statements of defense
- Drafting and processing appeal decisions
- Drafting preliminary and definitive advice for the appeals committee
- Administrative processing of hearings
What they ask
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience within a municipality or government organization
- Demonstrable completed HBO (higher professional education) legal bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years as a WOO legal counsel
Wishes.
- Demonstrable completed WO (university education) legal bachelor's degree
- Demonstrable completed course and/or training specifically focused on WOO and complaint handling
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years as a WOO legal counsel: 4 years or more
- Demonstrable work experience within a municipality or government organization: 4 years or more
