This assignment involves a residential support worker role at a care organization that provides support to clients with severe intellectual disabilities (SID) and challenging behavior. The client group is diverse in age, ranging from 18 to 60 years, with a gradual rejuvenation of the group. There are cases of autism, related disorders, and epilepsy.
What you do
- You constantly seek a balance between a pleasant daily routine and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
- You provide guidance and support that aligns with the clients' abilities and capacities.
- You are flexibly deployed in both residential care and day activities.
- You make a varied and valuable contribution to the support and guidance of clients.
What they ask
- An MBO level 3 or MBO level 4 diploma in Healthcare & Welfare.
- Strong communication skills to propose improvements to client guidance.
- You are resilient and do not shy away from difficult situations.
- You are excellent at recognizing client behavior and can report it in special situations.
- You have an eye for (expanding) contacts between the client and their network of family, friends, and acquaintances.
- You are flexibly available, including evenings, mornings, and weekends.
Practical
- A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) must be submitted before the start of employment.
