Software Asset Manager

An organization is looking for a Software Asset Management Officer for one of its clients. This is a full-time permanent contract with the organization, and freelancers can also apply.

What you will do.

  • Manage the complete IT software license lifecycle, including request, approval, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, renewal, and retirement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date software license inventories and databases.
  • Analyze software contracts, terms of use, and licensing clauses in collaboration with Purchasing, IT, and Finance teams.
  • Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.
  • Track KPIs, prepare reports, and dashboards.

What they ask

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management, License Management, IT Procurement, IT Asset Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience in managing the complete IT software license lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date software license inventories and databases.
  • Experience analyzing software contracts, terms of use, and licensing clauses.
  • Strong understanding of major software vendor licensing models.
  • Knowledge of SAM / ITAM solutions and software asset management processes.
  • Experience with software license inventory, usage analysis, renewals, contracts, and compliance.

Profile

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as:
  • Advanced Excel
  • SQL
  • Power BI
  • Strong administrative rigor, attention to detail, autonomy, and ownership.
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with Purchasing, IT, Finance, and external stakeholders.

Practical

  • Languages: French or Dutch with fluency in English.
