All round Marketer Communication Officer
OverijsselHybrid10 hours/weekDuration negotiable
A cultural ensemble works on special concert projects where the music of Johann Sebastian Bach forms the starting point for new stories.
- Old music is connected to the contemporary world, in collaboration with composers, poets, and artists.
- They are looking for an all-round marketer / communication officer who is energized by culture and communication, and who understands strategy but is equally comfortable getting hands-on.
What you will do.
- You will be responsible for the marketing and communication of the ensemble.
- You will work closely with the artistic directors, business director, and our permanent marketing partner.
- Your tasks include:
- Developing and executing campaigns around concerts and projects.
- Creating content for the website, social media, and newsletters.
- Press & PR and contact with media and concert venues.
- Briefing and managing designers, photographers, and videographers.
- Online campaigns and optimizing our online channels.
- Monitoring ticket sales, reach, and campaign results.
- And most importantly: identifying opportunities and seizing them.
- This is not a role where every task is pre-defined. You will be given the space and responsibility to determine what is needed yourself.
Your profile.
- You are an all-round marketer or communication officer who enjoys taking responsibility.
- You don't need to be a specialist in everything, but you are curious and eager to learn. If you don't know something, you don't wait for someone to tell you: you search, ask questions, and gather the information you need yourself.
- You recognize yourself in the following:
- You have experience with marketing and communication, preferably within culture, (classical) events, or a similar environment.
- You write easily and translate stories that resonate with our loyal audience.
- You work independently and maintain an overview of various projects.
- You are proactive, eager to learn, and not afraid to approach people.
- You can switch between strategy and execution.
- You have a feel for visuals, design, and storytelling.
- An affinity with classical (choral) music is a plus; enthusiasm to delve into it is at least as important.
Practical
- In the autumn, ample time will be taken to introduce you to the organization, projects, and working methods.
- From November, you will also be trained by a permanent marketing partner, with whom the ensemble works closely. This will provide a solid foundation for increasingly independent development.
What they offer.
- A versatile position within an ambitious cultural ensemble.
- Short lines of communication and ample room to initiate your own ideas.
- A lot of freedom and responsibility, space for your own ideas and development.
- A thorough onboarding period and flexible working conditions.
- Appropriate compensation on a freelance/self-employed basis.
