You own agile delivery: run the ceremonies, remove blockers, coach the team and its stakeholders, and keep increments shippable.
What you will do.
- Scrum facilitation: planning, daily, review, retrospective, plus Definition of Done and a healthy sprint backlog
- Delivery ownership across several teams; dependency and risk / issue management in complex banking organizations
- Agile coaching (doing and being agile): self-organisation, continuous improvement, healthy team dynamics
- Support the Product Owner on backlog health, capacity and velocity
- Where relevant: agile transformation beyond IT, including marketing & communications
- Stakeholder communication and reporting on how Scrum is deployed
Profile
- French or Dutch at professional level (required on most mandates — mandate-specific which one)
- Senior / Expert Scrum Master experience (~5–8+ years; expert tracks often ~6+ in agile)
- Proven banking or insurance work in Belgium (or transferable regulated FS)
- Scrum facilitation + agile coaching with ownership of delivery — not ceremony-only
- Multiple dependencies in complex corporate environments
- Continuous improvement, blocker resolution, coaching toward autonomy
- Agile tooling (e.g. Jira); non-IT transformation a plus where the mandate needs it
- Comfortable with hybrid work
- Current demand especially in multi-team banking delivery and MarCom agile transformation
- Structured, communicative, independent on client site
- Relevant degree; PSM / CSM / SAFe SM a plus
- Freelance / B2B setup for Belgian client contracting
