SCB Civil Assessor

A government organization is realizing a new test center at a specific location. The terrain section has been awarded as a Design & Construct (D&C) contract. The project is currently in the design phase and partly in the execution phase. The project is characterized by high quality requirements, including the flatness of the test track to be realized.

What you will do.

• Perform and report on document assessments
• Independently, but in consultation with the contract manager, prepare (draw up assessment planning and assessment matrix) and execute risk-driven SCB assessments
• Advise the contract manager and technical manager on implementation issues
• Perform weekly observations on the construction site and the associated reporting
• Assess delivery files and completion files
• Identify and formulate risks as input for the risk file

What they ask

• Demonstrable completed civil engineering education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience with road projects in the execution phase in the role of assessor, supervisor, or technical advisor
• Demonstrable work experience with the (risk-driven) execution of SCB assessments for a D&C contract in road construction in the past 5 years and the reporting thereof
• Demonstrable knowledge of and work experience with the execution of asphalt pavements
• Demonstrably in possession of a VCA-vol certificate

Preferences.

• Minimum 10 years of demonstrable work experience with road projects in the execution phase in the role of assessor, supervisor, or technical advisor
• Demonstrable work experience in at least 1 civil engineering project with underpasses and large-scale sand embankments (preloading)
• Demonstrable work experience in at least 1 civil engineering project with assessing/evaluating asphalt pavements
• Demonstrable work experience with technical management of a D&C contract
• Demonstrable work experience with making observations for a D&C contract
