This position is with a social organization that provides assistance to vulnerable adults and children in the areas of health, housing, finance, work, and education. You will work in a combined residential facility for approximately 38 adult participants with complex care needs, such as psychiatry and addiction, who receive 24-hour support without treatment. The goal is to stimulate self-reliance and well-being.
What you will do.
- Supervise order and safety in and around the premises
- Ensure the safety of participants, colleagues, and third parties
- Monitor access to the building and perform a preventive safety function
- Hold residents to agreed arrangements and intervene in incidents
- Exude authority and only intervene physically if physical violence is imminent
- Perform occasional household tasks, as well as light technical work
- Perform administrative tasks
- Participate in work meetings, such as handovers
Profile
- Alert, affinity with the target group
- MBO Social Work or equivalent, or a Security diploma
- Work and life experience are important, education is a plus
- No issues with working nights and weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and good communication
- Familiar with the target group and able to de-escalate situations
- Able to handle aggression and stand firm in threatening situations
- Able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct upon employment
- Affinity with the Christian values of the organization
