Therapist Forensic Mental Health

You will make an impact on the lives of clients with complex psychiatric and forensic issues. You play a central role in the recovery process of young people and adults who require specialized guidance and treatment.

What you do

  • Responsible for managing the treatment trajectory.
  • Acts as a fixed point of contact for clients, their relatives, and involved chain partners.
  • Ensures appropriate, effective, and recovery-oriented care together with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Engages in diagnostics, treatment, and evaluation of treatment trajectories.
  • Works from proven treatment methodologies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), schema therapy, ACT, and trauma treatment.
  • Utilizes forensic-oriented models such as the Good Lives Model (GLM) and the Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) model.
  • Contributes to sustainable change by paying attention to the person behind the problem and their living environment.
  • Works outreach where necessary and maintains close contact with involved network partners to ensure continuity and safety of care.

Profile

  • BIG-registered as a Healthcare Psychologist (GZ-psycholoog), Nurse Specialist (MANP), or Psychiatrist.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Independent, decisive, and takes responsibility in complex situations.
  • Affinity with forensic psychiatry and outpatient FACT care; experience in this is a plus.
  • Combines a strong professional attitude with connecting ability, humor, and positive energy.
