Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Instructor

As an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Instructor, you will make a significant contribution to the education and training of personnel in the field of UAS. You will be part of an instruction group within a specialized training institute.

What you will do.

  • Provide education and training in the field of UAS.
  • Be involved in the entire training process: from preparation and execution to evaluation.
  • Contribute to a professional and practice-oriented learning environment.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within your field.
  • Support the development and updating of courses, teaching materials, and practical learning tools.
  • Contribute to the drafting and improvement of training plans, lesson plans, assessments, assignments, and supporting teaching materials.
  • Prepare, deliver, and evaluate UAS courses and training sessions.
  • Provide theoretical and practical instructions.
  • Demonstrate procedures, techniques, and the use of relevant resources.
  • Guide, coach, and assess trainees during their education.
  • Monitor study progress and discuss results with trainees.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks during training.
  • Support the Head Instructor and, if necessary, perform tasks within the broader UAS field.

  • Demonstrable work experience within a comparable organization.
  • Practical experience with tactical operations at group level.
  • Insight into the operational environment and how a military group operates within it.
  • Knowledge of or affinity with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and their application in tactical operations.
  • Good communication and didactic skills.
  • The ability to translate military knowledge and practical experience into realistic and practice-oriented instructions and training.
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team.

Practical

  • A security clearance investigation is part of the application process.
  • Dutch nationality is required.
  • Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a condition for appointment.
  • A background check, including criminal records and financial matters, which takes an average of 8 weeks, may be part of the selection procedure.
