You will work in a residential facility where residents, colleagues, volunteers, and family form a single community. You will become part of a close-knit group and contribute to a homely, warm, and pleasant atmosphere. The facility houses 16 people with moderate intellectual disabilities, most of whom are quite independent and go to work or day activities during the day. One resident requires intensive ADL care. The location is characterized by strong community involvement, with many volunteers and family members.
You will work in a stable team of eight colleagues, with room for new ideas and a fresh perspective on the future.
What you will do.
- Guide residents in their daily lives and encourage as much independence as possible
- Provide structure, clarity, and a listening ear
- Support with light ADL care and provide care for one resident with a more intensive care need
- Work closely with colleagues, volunteers
- Contribute to a warm, safe, and homely atmosphere
- Encourage residents to actively participate in life inside and outside the facility
Profile
- Minimum MBO level 3 diploma in Care & Welfare
- Experience with or affinity for people with intellectual disabilities
- Flexible and thinking in possibilities
- Enjoy working with volunteers and family
- Bring humor, initiative
