An organization is looking for a marketing & communication officer starting October 2026 for an annual festival. The festival will take place from January 27 to 30, 2027. For the campaign, there is close collaboration with theaters, creators, and other partners. The organization is looking for someone who helps to activate this network and enjoys creating content themselves.
What you will do. You will work based on the existing communication strategy, campaign planning, and house style, and take on part of the execution:
- Maintain communication contact with participating theaters and coordinate what and when they communicate
- Check if program, ticket, and practical information on their channels is correct and provide texts, images
- Plan and manage social media, devise content, set up advertisements, and write posts and stories
- Create and edit simple reels and short videos from existing material
- Activate partners from the organization's network for the campaign and create suitable material
- Activate press
- Coordinate photographers and videographers during the festival, together with the head of communication, and ensure that current material is quickly available
Profile
You are an independent communication professional who gets energy from people and content. You easily make contact, dare to call, and know how to enthuse others. At the same time, you work precisely: an incorrect date, link, or wording stands out to you.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in Dutch and comfortable in English
- Experience with social media and creating digital content
- A sense of language, image
- Good at planning, organizing, and maintaining an overview
- Works proactively and independently and sees what is needed
- Can switch flexibly when an opportunity, question, or festival moment requires it
- Relevant experience in communication, marketing, media, or a similar environment
- Experience in the cultural sector is a plus, but curiosity about art, culture, and contemporary circus is at least as important
