The Living Environment department of a government organization is temporarily seeking an experienced Permit Officer for Cables and Pipelines. You will be responsible for assessing, processing, and coordinating applications for work on underground infrastructure.
What you will do.
- Assess and process permit applications from utility and telecom companies for the installation, relocation, and removal of cables and pipelines.
- Review applications against relevant laws and regulations, including the Awb, APV, Omgevingswet, and AVOI.
- Monitor lead times and ensure timely and correct decision-making.
- Answer questions from residents, companies, and other involved parties.
- Advise internal colleagues and external parties on technical and legal aspects of cable and pipeline works.
- Identify developments, risks, and areas for improvement within the field and contribute to an efficient organization of work processes.

- You work independently, meticulously, and result-oriented.
- You can work both independently and in a team.
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Experience with permit issuance in the field of cables and pipelines.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Awb, Omgevingswet, and local ordinances.
- Experience with assessing technical drawings and route proposals.
- Willingness to obtain a VOG (certificate of good conduct) with screening profiles 11, 12, 13.
Preferences.
- Recent work experience in a similar position.
- Experience within a municipal organization is a plus.

- Good communication skills and understanding of administrative relationships.
- Independent, meticulous, and result-oriented.
- Political and administrative sensitivity.
