Supply Planner

Put your logistics talent to use for a global supply chain that changes lives. Thanks to your planning and coordination, the hospital ships in Africa are always supplied at the right time with foodstuffs, consumables, and other essential goods. From food for hundreds of crew members to materials needed daily on board: you ensure that everything is available on time.

This gives the medical teams the space to do what they do best: provide free surgeries and medical care to people who do not have access to it themselves.

What you will do.

• Plan the supply of the hospital ships with foodstuffs, consumables, and other goods based on an established long-term plan.
• Work closely with the Demand Planner and coordinate with purchasing and logistics colleagues on the procurement, processing, and dispatch of planned orders.
• Monitor outstanding orders and actively follow up on deliveries.
• Process and manage item and order data in the systems.
• Maintain contact with colleagues in the Netherlands, the United States, and the logistics teams on board the ships.
• Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and contribute to improvements in processes and working methods.

What they ask

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• Several years of relevant work experience as a Supply Planner, Supply Chain Planner, or in a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain an overview in a dynamic environment.
• An analytical and solution-oriented way of working.
• Excellent command of Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• You work accurately, are proactive, and enjoy achieving goals together with colleagues worldwide.
