Privacy Advisor

South HollandHybrid38 hours/week<3months

Your role within the support team is specifically focused on advising and supporting the first line in the (accelerated) execution of pre-scans, DPIAs, and related activities, including monitoring and following up on points of attention from a DPIA. In this position, you will work with people from across the government organization with various functions.

What you will do.

  • Support the departments in conducting pre-scans and DPIAs
  • Organize and guide risk workshops
  • Manage the Register of processing activities
  • Support the implementation and compliance with the powers and safeguards arising from relevant legislation
  • Follow up on action points from a DPIA
  • Participate in relevant privacy consultation forums

What they ask Education.

  • HBO/WO degree (preferably legal, IT, or administrative)
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR/Wpg) within the government
  • Knowledge of or affinity with information law
  • Training and/or certification in the field of GDPR
  • Several years of experience as a GDPR privacy advisor, experience as a Wpg advisor is a plus
  • Several years of experience in drafting (complex) DPIAs

Profile

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly grasp complex matters
  • Persuasive and stress-resistant, even under (time) pressure
  • Experience with data processing processes
  • Experience in drafting and/or guiding complex DPIAs
  • Proficient in coordinating and assessing proposed processing operations
  • Familiar with handling political-administrative files involving conflicting interests
  • Collaborative, strong communicator
  • Proficient in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Easily takes initiative, identifies what is needed, and is willing to tackle various subjects

Practical

  • A security screening is part of the selection procedure, for which Dutch nationality or a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA) is required.
  • An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
