As a construction damage expert, you are the essential link between victims and insurance companies. You support victims throughout the entire process: from the technical analysis of damages to the final negotiation with insurers. You also carry out assignments for hidden defects, construction faults, provisional acceptance, and unsuitability for habitation. You are not only a technician but also a true defender of consumer rights.
What you will do.
- Defend the rights of insured parties: analyze home claims and guarantee fair compensation.
- Evaluate and quantify damages: make precise observations and draw up detailed loss statements.
- Support clients: explain technical and legal aspects in an accessible manner.
- Negotiate with insurance companies: defend your clients' interests with firmness and diplomacy.
- Draft rigorous expert reports: clear, detailed, and usable in case of mediation or legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with the internal team: work in tandem with case managers to streamline and optimize processes.
- Be present on site: meet victims, inspect locations, and collect evidence.
- Contribute to the organization's development: propose improvements to adapt services to regional and cultural realities.
What they are looking for.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in architecture or building engineering, building expertise, claims expertise, or a similar technical function.
- Education as a civil/industrial engineer, architect, or judicial expert.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong sense of interpersonal relations.
- Rigor, autonomy, organizational skills, and an analytical mind.
- Empathy and a sense of justice: you place people at the center of your interventions.
- Languages: French is mandatory (main language of the function). Dutch is an additional asset.
- Mobility: frequent travel in the region and its surroundings.
