Spokesperson

Society, media, and the communication profession are developing rapidly. As a spokesperson, you are aware of these developments and apply this knowledge in your work.
- You identify opportunities and threats in the external environment that affect the organization's reputation.
- The organization is active on many (social media) channels. It is up to you to make a current phenomenon or complex, strategic topics accessible to a large audience and through the right channels.
What you will do.
- Advise and provide spokesperson services for complex communication issues and impactful cases.
- Coach colleagues and line management on spokesperson duties and social media.
- Initiate and maintain contact with relevant internal and external stakeholders and participate in national networks.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call duty after an induction period.
- Conduct extensive internal inquiries and liaise with external partners, such as external chain partners and spokespersons from other units.
- Guide specialists during media attention and occasionally speak to the media in uniform.
- Contribute to communication actions and advise on content, target audience, and appropriate communication tools, based on the strategic communication agenda.
- Translate ideas into execution and deliver communication products.
Profile
- Energetically tackle topics that are in the media or will receive publicity in the short term.
- Knowledge of the latest (social) media developments, closely follow the news, be alert to relevant social and political current events.
- Flexible and stress-resistant, able to handle deadlines well.
- Good editorial skills and know how to achieve the right effect in language and tone.
- Always aware of the political-administrative environment in which you work.
- Knowledge of what is happening in the different parts of the organization and adopt a connecting attitude in contacts with colleagues in other units.
- Good at building and maintaining an external network.
- Work systematically, create overview, and maintain calm.
- Knowledge and experience with crisis communication and reputation management.
- Advise administrators and strategic leaders on the strategic media approach and spokesperson duties.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
What they ask
- HBO (bachelor) work and thinking level, preferably in communication or journalism.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a spokesperson.
- Driving license B.
- A reliability investigation is part of the selection procedure.
