Youth Worker

The organization accommodates young people aged 13 to 18 who have often experienced a lot. These young people need structure and regularity. The 24/7 guidance aims to enable them to live independently from the age of 18, whether in a reception center, in their country of origin, or in their own home.

What you do

  • As a permanent supervisor, you regularly conduct mentoring interviews with the young people.
  • You maintain contact with external organizations and care providers, such as the guardian, school, and general practitioner.
  • You ensure a safe and livable residential environment.
  • You are a visible point of contact for the young people.
  • You work closely with colleagues in a team of 15 to 40 employees, including residential counselors and behavioral specialists.
  • Regular consultations and intervision discussions take place to ensure quality.

What they ask

  • A relevant HBO or WO diploma (e.g., Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another diploma within Social Sciences).
  • SKJ registered or have the possibility to obtain SKJ registration within two years.
  • Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts).

Preferences.

  • Work experience in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
  • A relevant MBO diploma combined with SKJ registration is also welcome.
