For a Belgian food & beverage producer, we are looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Employee. The organization produces all its products in-house, in a production workshop that operates day and night. It invests heavily in additional capacity, new technology, and especially in its people. Within the HR team, you will be the trusted link for the workers. Together with a social secretariat, you will ensure correct worker payroll.
You will monitor time registration and absences, and you will be the first point of contact for all HR questions from the shop floor. In this role, accuracy and a human approach are equally important.
What you do
As an HR & Payroll Employee, you are responsible for the complete administrative and human follow-up of the workers. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing and checking worker payroll in collaboration with a social secretariat, via a specific system
- Monitoring time registration via a time registration system and correctly processing performances, shifts
- Processing advances and salary payments, correctly and on time
- Weekly processing of temporary workers' performances and checking their time registration
- Processing sick notes and absence certificates, according to social legislation
- Serving as the first point of contact for all HR questions from workers, in Dutch and French
- Handling the onboarding of new colleagues: documents, insurance
- Coordinating flu vaccinations and periodic medical examinations with the external service, and co-organizing events for employees
Profile
For this role, we are looking for an experienced payroll professional who feels at home in a production environment with many workers. Important profile characteristics are:
- At least 5 years of experience in worker payroll, across the full payroll cycle
- Thorough knowledge of Belgian social legislation and its administrative follow-up
- Knowledge of PC 118 and PC 220 (food industry) is a strong asset
- Experience with a payroll system and a time registration system is a plus, not a must
- Fluent in Dutch and French, verbally and in writing
- Accurate, discreet, and accessible: people's salaries pass through your hands
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience
