What you do
- Ensure a safe and calm living environment during the night, with special attention to sleep observation, risk assessment, and prevention of crisis situations
- Act in a de-escalating manner during restlessness, anxiety, agitation, or nocturnal crisis moments
- Recognize subtle changes in the psychological well-being of the resident and take appropriate actions according to applicable safety and care protocols
- Support residents in a respectful, recovery-oriented manner, with an eye for autonomy
- Report accurately and clearly (both in writing and orally), to ensure 24-hour care continuity
- Be responsible for safe and correct medication management, including preparing medication for 24 or 48 hours, registering medication administrations, and processing distribution, with knowledge of emergency cabinet management and (psycho)pharmacology, such as recognizing important side effects
Profile
- Graduate diploma in nursing (HBO5) or diploma as a basic nurse
- Work experience in psychiatry with diverse target groups is a plus
- Strong sense of responsibility and enjoys working at night
- Client-oriented and possesses the necessary communication skills
- Enjoys working independently and integrates well into the team
