Data is becoming increasingly important to strengthen policy choices, service delivery, and internal processes. A public sector organization is looking for a temporary data advisor who converts available data into usable insights and contributes to building a data-driven organization.
What you will do.
- Support colleagues, managers, and policy makers in collecting, analyzing, and translating data into clear insights
- Work closely with various departments and contribute to the further development of data-driven work within the organization
- Strengthen data-driven operations:
- Develop a data policy and work on the realization of improvement actions from audit monitoring
- Support departments in developing relevant indicators, monitoring
- Participate in relevant peer groups focused on data-driven work
- Further develop existing data applications and tools:
- Maintain and develop existing data applications, including kordiaincijfers.be, CS Analytics, and Power BI reports
- Follow up on the 2027 urban monitor edition and provide substantive input for evaluation and discussions
- Monitor the quality and usability of available data
- Detect opportunities to use available data and reporting tools more efficiently
Profile
- Strong analytical skills and interest in data, monitoring
- Accurate and numerically strong
- Takes initiative, works proactively, and thinks in a solution-oriented way
- Can work independently, but also actively seeks collaboration
- Customer-focused and attentive to the needs of internal partners
- Communicates clearly and can translate analyses into understandable advice for various target groups
- Experience with Power BI, dashboards, and data visualization is a significant advantage
- Affinity with the functioning of a local government or willingness to quickly delve into it
- Recognizes themselves in competencies such as results-orientation, collaboration, and taking responsibility
