Strategic Advisor Work, Participation, Poverty

As a strategic advisor, you work on issues with a visible impact on society. You move easily between policy, governance, and implementation, ensuring focus and coherence. You concentrate on important societal challenges such as Work & Participation and poverty reduction, aiming to strengthen existential security for residents with a distance to the labor market. You develop strategies and instruments that contribute to inclusive participation, where participation according to ability is central.

You connect policy and implementation and contribute to the further development of the social development enterprise. Together with internal and external partners, you work on innovative solutions that offer residents prospects for work, income, prevention and reduction of poverty, and thus participation in society.

• Developing and updating policy frameworks and visions within important societal challenges.
• Identifying relevant developments and translating them into concrete policy proposals, programs, and a clear long-term strategy, including clear objectives, measurable indicators, and solid financial substantiation.
• Taking the lead on complex, cross-domain issues and monitoring the coherence between policy, implementation, and finances.
• Advising the board, management, and leadership on strategic choices, scenarios, and risks, and offering them a course of action.
• Drafting proposals for the board and carefully weighing and connecting diverse interests.
• Monitoring, evaluating, and continuously developing policy.
• Identifying bottlenecks in implementation and translating them into improvement proposals and adjusted policy.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues, administrators, and external partners such as social organizations, implementing organizations, and other government bodies.
• Building and maintaining a strong network and representing the organization in regional and national partnerships.
• Strongly connecting policy and implementation, with an eye for vulnerable groups, to ensure that strategic plans actually lead to concrete results and equal opportunities for all residents.

• University (WO) level of thinking and working
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with strategic policy development
• Affinity with the political-administrative context of public organizations
• Demonstrable experience with complex, integral issues
• Experience in drafting administrative documents
• Knowledge of the social domain and relevant laws and regulations
• Experience with programmatic or project-based work

• Insight into complex social and administrative processes
