At an educational institution, we are looking for a motivated mathematics tutor who wants to individually guide pupils and students. You will support both secondary education pupils and, depending on your own knowledge and background, students from higher education or university college. You will help them to better understand mathematical subject matter, practice purposefully, and start tests and exams with more confidence.
What you will do.
- Provide individual mathematics tutoring to secondary school pupils and/or higher education students.
- Explain difficult subject matter in a clear and step-by-step manner.
- Support pupils and students with exercises, assignments, tests, and exam preparation.
- Respond to their specific questions and address any backlogs.
- Motivate pupils and students and help them to work more independently with the subject matter.
- Briefly follow up after guidance on the pupil's or student's progress and any remaining areas of attention.
Profile
- You have a strong knowledge of mathematics and enjoy explaining subject matter in a calm and understandable way.
- You do not necessarily need to master all levels: requests are matched to you based on your education, experience, and substantive strengths.
- A background in education, mathematics, sciences, engineering, economics, or another field with a strong mathematical component is a significant advantage.
- You have a strong knowledge of mathematical, statistical, and analytical subjects and can convey this material in a clear and structured manner.
- Experience in teaching or guiding is a plus.
- You are patient, communicative, and flexible.
- You have a passion for education and supporting pupils in their learning process.
