In this assignment, you will work at the intersection of technology and commerce. You translate customer questions into smart, reliable, and technically feasible security solutions and support Sales colleagues in developing and winning complex customer issues. You work on solutions in areas such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
What you do
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you are responsible for the technical preliminary process for customers. You identify customer needs, translate them into a suitable design, and provide clear technical substantiation. You interact intensively with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and product teams to ensure that a solution is not only technically correct but also feasible and commercially appropriate.
- Design and engineer standard and complex security solutions
- Elicit and analyze customer needs
- Provide technical advice to customers and account teams
- Develop technical proposals and presentations
- Create diagrams, configurations, specifications, and design documentation
- Assess technical feasibility and risks
- Conduct customer visits and site surveys
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and other internal stakeholders
- Support Sales with complex tenders and customer projects

- HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT
- Extensive experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical engineering
- Demonstrable knowledge of electronic security, such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
- Experience with CAD and/or relevant design tools
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Experience in presenting and substantiating technical solutions
- Knowledge of relevant standards and certifications
- The ability to effectively switch between technology, customer
