- The assignment encompasses a diverse range of tasks related to spatial planning issues.
- Projects range from the initiative and feasibility phase to the design phase.
- One of the projects involves the redevelopment of an area with former office buildings and other facilities. A defined area vision is in place, and the area will be redeveloped in phases. Agreements on land exchange/transfer are an important first step.
- Another project focuses on the redevelopment of a vacant office building and an adjacent P+R site. The goal is to establish an approved spatial framework and a viable business case.
- A third project concerns the undergrounding of high-voltage power lines over a considerable length, which is a prerequisite for one of the area developments. Work is underway on a basic design, followed by detailed design and realization.

What they ask
- The candidate must bring their own device (mobile phone with subscription and laptop) for all business contacts. Workstations are equipped with USB-C (Thunderbolt) docking monitors.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as an area development project manager.
- Demonstrable work experience as an area development project manager within a municipal organization.
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Availability for the full assignment and any extensions.
Preferences.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as an area development project manager for more complex area developments with an assignment value of at least €10 million.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as an area development project manager at a municipality.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in projects involving multiple clients.
- Demonstrable work experience leading multidisciplinary project teams within the spatial domain.
- Demonstrable work experience with all different phases of area development: from initiation to realization.
- Demonstrable work experience with collaboration processes where the interests of various stakeholders are taken into account.
- Demonstrably completed education in civil engineering, social geography and urban planning, master city developer, or similar at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
Practical
- The activities to be performed by the contractor are embedded in the client's organization and/or are also (partially or wholly) performed by employees employed by the client.
- The contractor participates in regular work meetings.
- The contractor reports to the client or a supervisor.
- The work form is determined, including location and planning for deliverables.
- Work is done in a team context.
- The assignment is used to replace a sick employee.
- The position is classified in functional scale 12, in accordance with the client's collective labor agreement.
- One professional is required for this assignment.
