As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage technical projects from the initial idea to successful delivery. You ensure that plans become reality and monitor planning, budget, quality, and safety. You will work on diverse technical projects within a dynamic industrial environment, from concept and engineering to realization, commissioning, and handover. You continuously switch between technology, people, planning, and organization.
You will be given significant responsibility and room to apply your knowledge and ideas. Opportunities for process improvement or innovation are translated into concrete projects and results.
What you will do.
- Manage technical projects from concept through to delivery and handover
- Prepare business cases and contribute to concept studies and pilot projects
- Coordinate engineering and engage internal and external expertise where necessary
- Monitor progress, quality, costs, and planning, and report on these to management
- Maintain active contact with suppliers, clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Advise other departments on technical issues and potential improvements
- Follow market developments and innovations and translate these into concrete opportunities for the organization
- Participate in relevant internal and external network and project groups
- Oversee drawing management
- Coordinate and monitor the CE marking of installations
- Ensure optimal safety, quality, and working conditions within the projects and department
Profile
- Completed HBO+ level education in a technical field such as mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- In possession of a valid VCA-VOL certificate and VOP/NEN3140
- Experience in leading and coordinating technical projects
- Works structured and maintains an overview, even when multiple projects are running simultaneously
- Cost-conscious, results-oriented, and has a practical approach
- Sees opportunities for improvement and innovation and knows how to translate these into concrete actions
- Communicates easily with technical colleagues as well as suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of the Dutch language, both written and spoken
