Technical Safety Consultant

This role as a Technical Safety Consultant at a consulting firm offers the opportunity to further develop towards machine safety. You will work on diverse projects for technical companies and advise clients on safety, risk management, and legislation, focusing on practical, feasible, and effective solutions.
What you will do. As a Technical Safety Consultant, you will help clients manage safety risks within technical environments, such as industrial companies, machine builders, production environments, and organizations with complex installations or processes. You will work independently on projects and collaborate with fellow consultants. Your tasks include:
- Advising clients on technical safety and risk management
- Performing risk analyses and safety assessments
- Translating laws and regulations into practical solutions
- Supporting clients in the implementation of safety measures
- Preparing clear reports and advice
- Contributing to improvements in processes, services, and knowledge sharing within the team
The role is closely related to machine safety, providing you with the opportunity to specialize in this area.
Profile
You are analytically strong, practically oriented, and enjoy translating safety issues into solutions that truly benefit clients. You can work independently but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues and clients. You are a strong communicator, eager to learn, and ambitious in your development within technical safety. You bring:
- A higher professional education (HBO) degree, for example in Integral Safety Engineering, or a technical education such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial automation, or industrial engineering and management
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience within a technical environment
- Experience or strong affinity with safety within industry, machine building, installation technology, or similar technical sectors
- Experience with risk analyses, safety assessments, or working with safety standards and legislation
- Good command of the Dutch language and a good level of English
- Driving license B and willingness to travel to clients
A solid foundation in safety engineering with technical affinity, or a technical background with a clear interest in safety, is a good fit.
