Manager Safety & Organizational Development

This assignment involves a complex change challenge in a safety-critical environment, focused on team development within physical infrastructure.

• You will lead a professional team engaged in incident investigation, safety advice, and risk management.
• The focus is on ensuring the continuity of daily operations and structurally improving the team's working methods, collaboration, and quality.

What you will do.

• You will ensure continuity and drive change.
• You will provide an overview of the workload, processes, responsibilities, and team dynamics.
• You will set clear goals and manage quality, planning, and results.
• You will work towards a new setup and working method, translate this into a concrete change plan, and guide the team step by step.
• Lead a team of professionals, primarily with a technical and substantive background.
• Manage quarterly objectives, quality, capacity, and planning.
• Professionalize and standardize incident investigations and safety advice.
• Create clear roles, responsibilities, and ownership.
• Develop and execute a concrete change and implementation plan.
• Guide employees through new processes and ways of working.
• Strengthen collaboration, accountability culture, and professional ownership.
• Advise on complex safety and risk issues.
• Collaborate with HR, employee representation, management, and other stakeholders.
• Report on the progress of the change initiative to the management team.
• Provide substantive support when required, for example, with a sensitive investigation report or a complex safety issue.

What they ask

• Completed HBO or WO education.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable management experience within larger organizations of more than 1,000 employees.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with change assignments where you have guided a team or organizational unit to a new working method or structure.
• Experience leading MBO+/HBO professionals, preferably in a technical environment.
• Experience within a complex, safety-critical, or highly regulated environment.
• Experience with operational processes, procedures, and quality control.
• Experience improving investigation, reporting, or advisory products.
• Experience in transport, infrastructure, industry, energy, aviation, utilities, or another safety-critical environment is a strong plus.
