Within a logistics service provider, you design logistical solutions for new and existing clients within Contract Logistics. Your analyses, calculations, and designs form the basis for commercial proposals and play an important role in winning new business and further developing existing client relationships. You are involved in sales processes and collaborate with Business Development and Operations to analyze client needs and translate them into suitable logistical solutions.
You develop logistical concepts, ranging from process and layout designs to automated warehouse solutions, using 2D/3D drawing software and BI programs. Automation and mechanization are important parts of the strategy. You work independently and in collaboration with colleagues from Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to achieve technically, operationally, and commercially feasible designs and cost calculations.
Throughout the sales process, you optimize the solution based on new insights, client wishes, and operational possibilities. Finally, you present the proposed solution to the client and explain the technical aspects of the design.

- Collaborate with internal and external experts and/or departments to arrive at the logistical solution
- Present and explain logistical solutions to the client and provide support to Business Development during the sales process
- Monitor developments, innovations, and trends in the logistics field

Profile
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Solution Design or a similar role in a warehouse environment
- Experience with developing warehouse layout, process design
- Experience with using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written
Practical
- You are part of the Solutions & Operations Excellence (SOE) department in the Benelux
- You report to the Manager Solution Design Benelux and work closely with colleagues within SOE and the Business Development department
- Flexibility in workplace and working hours: largely self-manage working hours, work at other Benelux locations, and one day per week from home
