A security organization within a government institution is looking for a new colleague to strengthen its team. The organization is constantly evolving and is committed to protecting what is dear to us. Professional security of all locations is part of this. This is the work of approximately 2500 employees who work 24/7 together on the security of protected interests, people, and equipment. Working as a security guard for this organization is important and responsible work.
You will be continuously trained by experienced instructors, including on the use of force such as the service weapon, baton, and handcuffs. You will work in a civilian capacity, meaning you are not a military person, but you work for a government organization and wear a uniform and carry a weapon. You will report to your team's Group Commander and also work closely with the Watch Coordinator, your fellow security guards, and the dog handlers in the region.
What you do
- Patrol locations
- Observe irregularities and monitor camera footage
- Identify suspicious situations and act effectively when necessary
- Respond to alarm reports, use force if the situation requires it
- Perform access controls and ensure only authorized persons gain access
- Operate access systems
- Provide support during emergencies within the units

Profile
- An MBO 2 Security diploma
- Preferably previous work experience in security or as a military person
- Dutch nationality (can be a second nationality)
- Physically fit, actively exercising, and a healthy lifestyle
- Able to work seamlessly in 5-shift services (day/evening/night and weekend)
- In possession of a B driving license (manual) and own transport for commuting
