Benefits Case Manager

You support residents within the Participation Act in a way that works.

  • You strengthen their stability, improve their financial situation, and offer perspective.

  • You advise on changes, look beyond the benefit, and refer when necessary.
  • You contribute to the lawful implementation of laws and regulations, keeping an eye on what is feasible.
  • Your work revolves around contact, and you easily switch between phone, email, and conversations.
  • You make decisions that directly impact the income and daily lives of residents.
  • You maintain an overview in sometimes complex situations, adjust when needed, and ensure agreements are met.
  • You contribute to team developments by participating in projects that improve service delivery.
  • You handle mutations for clients without a caseload and act as a reliable point of contact.
  • You directly contribute to existential security, providing residents with clarity, peace, and trust, and ensuring that the implementation of rules remains humane and just.

  • Assessing and processing changes in benefits.
  • Determining next steps and providing clear, appropriate advice.
  • Processing mutations for clients without a fixed caseload.

  • In difficult conversations, you remain firm and ask the right questions, quickly building trust with residents and colleagues.
  • You stay calm under pressure, switch quickly, and know how to energize and motivate others.
  • With your sense of tact, you always find a good balance between what the resident needs and what the organization can offer.
  • You have up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations and future changes to the Participation Act.
  • You think critically about your own work and address colleagues when necessary.
  • You dare to be creative and think outside the rules in a substantiated way if it helps the client.
  • You have experience with managing your own caseload and applying laws and regulations in a broad context.

What they ask

  • Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level through education and/or work experience.
  • Recent knowledge (from 2022) of laws and regulations, specifically the Participation Act.
  • Minimum 3 years (from 2022) demonstrable relevant experience as a client manager at a public sector organization.

Preferences.

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience at a public sector organization since 2022.
  • Demonstrable experience (from 2022) working with the Suite application.
