Electromechanical Technician
An organization managing railway infrastructure invests in your future by offering a paid, full-time day training to retrain you as an Electromechanical Technician. During this training, you will learn everything necessary to successfully work in one of the organization's technical domains. The training lasts 4 months and focuses on electricity and mechanics. You will be introduced to four specializations within electromechanics:
- Substations
- Power distribution
- Signaling installations
- Overhead lines
During the selection procedure, the domain that best suits you will be determined together with you. After successful completion of the training, a selection interview will follow for a permanent contract.
What you will do.
- Work with high, medium, or low voltage to ensure the safety and reliability of installations.
- Analyze and solve problems using measuring equipment and digital tools.
- Collaborate in small teams of 2 to 3 technicians.
- Depending on your specialization, you will work during day hours or in a shift system, with fixed and pre-known working hours.
- Regular night and weekend work is part of the job.
- You will start and end your workday at one of the local maintenance centers.
Profile
- Secondary education diploma (OK4) or 2 years of relevant experience.
- Technical insight and willingness to learn.
- Safety-conscious and open to outdoor work and shift systems.
- Driving license B (or willing to obtain it).
- Willingness to follow a full-time training of 4 months.
- Good knowledge of Dutch (minimum B2 level).
