Project Manager Research & Development

A private family group, founded in 1947, is dedicated to the development of safe and environmentally friendly equipment for medical waste treatment. As an R&D Project Manager, you will be at the heart of the organization's innovation. You will design, develop, and manage innovative projects, playing a key role in implementing new technologies, improving existing products, and solving complex technical challenges.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, meeting quality requirements and strategic objectives.

What you do

  • Propose new approaches and technologies to improve products or processes.
  • Monitor market trends and technological advancements to anticipate future needs.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems encountered during development.
  • Design and develop prototypes, concepts, and innovative technical solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate new ideas or technologies.
  • Perform tests and validations to ensure the performance and reliability of new solutions.
  • Define objectives, deadlines, and resources required for each project.
  • Establish and monitor the project plan, including budget, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate R&D team activities and ensure fluid communication between team members and stakeholders.
  • Draft technical reports, specification documents, and test protocols.
  • Prepare presentations for project reviews and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ensure complete documentation of results and processes for traceability and compliance.
  • Work closely with departments such as production, marketing, and quality to ensure harmonious integration of new solutions.
  • Establish partnerships with suppliers, research institutes, or other external partners to support R&D projects.

What they ask

  • University or higher education degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • Significant experience (min 5 years) in technical project management and product development, ideally in an R&D environment.
  • Project management skills, including planning, organization, and monitoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of design, development, and technical validation processes.
  • Problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and creativity.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in drawing software such as Creo, Windchill, or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of quality management concepts, tools, and methods.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingual French/English, a third language is a plus.
  • Rigor, organization, and analytical mind.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and convince internally and externally.
  • Good listening and analytical skills.

Practical

  • A fixed-term contract with a view to a permanent contract.
