A public welfare organization provides support and guidance to vulnerable residents. The goal is to help beneficiaries achieve maximum autonomy, taking into account each person's individual situation.
What you will do.
- Analyze and process social assistance applications, considering the legal framework and internal guidelines.
- Provide accurate and qualitative information to individuals seeking assistance and refer them if necessary.
- Ensure qualitative and fair social follow-up by actively listening, respecting professional secrecy, and considering the person's situation.
- Be proactive and flexible in your work and personal development.
- Ensure information sharing and collaboration with various services.
- Be the reference person for residents of local reception initiatives (LRI) and inform them of their rights and obligations upon arrival through an initial comprehensive anamnesis.
- Provide individual support to LRI residents through high-quality psychosocial care and guidance in their various steps, particularly regarding medical follow-up, housing search, asylum procedures, budget guidance, advance payment requests, etc.
- Guide applicants for international protection through integration solutions, including schooling, language education, social and cultural activities, various training courses, etc.
- Handle administrative follow-up of refugee candidates, manage urgent medical assistance requests and advances.
- Prepare and follow up on reports for relevant authorities.
- Actively participate in inter-LRI discussions and meetings organized by relevant government agencies, and maintain a network of partners.
Profile
- You must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
- You have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- You are familiar with relevant legislation concerning the right to social integration and public centers for social welfare.
- You show genuine interest in the issues faced by asylum seekers and are sensitive to the topic of immigration.
- You are able to use the most common IT tools.
- You have good analytical and summarizing skills, as well as good communication skills (oral and written).
- You act in accordance with professional standards and respect the confidentiality rules specific to your role.
- You are a good listener, empathetic, and solution-oriented.
- You are meticulous, autonomous, and dynamic.
- You are proficient in French and/or Dutch, both orally and in writing, and ideally possess the SELOR language certificate or are willing to obtain it.
