Head Nurse SPI

East FlandersHybrid38 hours/week<3months

This temporary replacement position as Head Nurse is for a department specializing in rehabilitation. The current focus is on locomotor and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and will evolve into a department with a specific focus on specialized rehabilitation, recovery, and functional training for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. You will have the opportunity to help shape this development and, together with the team, build quality and future-oriented rehabilitation care.

What you do

  • Bear ultimate responsibility for the organization, coordination, and quality of nursing care.
  • Focus on patient-friendliness, ethics, and patient rights, with an eye for stigmatization and continuity of care.
  • Organize and lead multidisciplinary consultations.
  • Actively participate in hospital-wide projects.
  • Stimulate evidence-based practice and guide the team in innovation and quality improvement.

For your team.

  • Be involved in recruitment, onboarding, and career development.
  • Create an open working environment with attention to well-being, participation, and collaboration.
  • Ensure a good balance between structure and room for initiative.
  • Support students and stimulate continuous training and professional development.

For the department.

  • Ensure efficient organization and manage resources with an eye for quality and cost-awareness.
  • Monitor legislation, quality standards, and new developments, and translate them into practice.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (or equivalent), supplemented with a management training, Banaba Healthcare Management, or a master's degree in a relevant field, already completed or in progress.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a nurse.
  • Coaching leadership style, organizational talent, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Knowledge of legislation, patient care management, and basic ICT.
  • Willingness to participate in the nursing on-call system.
