LVB Day Activity Supervisor
You will work at a lively day activity center within a care organization. This location consists of various groups, including workgroups where clients with a mild intellectual disability (LVB) work on small projects and tasks in a work-oriented manner. The emphasis is on meaningful work in a safe, structured environment.
You will work integrally, meaning that in addition to your hours in the workgroups, you will also work shifts in the residences, for example, start-up shifts or weekend shifts, to gain a complete picture of the clients' daily and weekly rhythm. The team is young and energetic and collaborates intensively.
What you will do.
- Create structure, safety, and a meaningful day for clients.
- Provide clear work agreements and frameworks.
- Act consistently: say what you do and do what you say.
- Pay attention to the individual and seek solutions together.
- Motivate and challenge clients to participate.
- Together with colleagues, ensure a pleasant, safe atmosphere in the group.
- Collaborate closely with other groups and assist where necessary.
Profile
You will guide clients with a mild intellectual disability (LVB) within the workgroups. These clients are often articulate, verbally strong, and want to think along and participate in decision-making. They can challenge you, ask many questions, and enjoy engaging in conversation. You know how to respond calmly, clearly, and with humor. Clients benefit from someone who:
- Sets clear boundaries.
- Is decisive and consistent.
- Adapts and collaborates towards their goals.
This concerns a newly established group with clients who have been at home for a longer period, which can lead to varying group dynamics, verbal or physical aggression, and wandering behavior. Therefore, it is important that you are physically and mentally resilient and can offer calm and structure.
What they ask
- A completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in care, guidance, or social services.
- Experience with or strong affinity for the LVB target group (or MVG if you want to grow).
- Decisive, clear, reliable, and stress-resistant.
- Able to switch well between different clients and situations.
- Flexible in deployment and enjoying working in multiple groups.
- A team player who loves dynamism and humor.
