An ensemble is looking for a percussionist. This ensemble is an 'instrument for living composers' and focuses on new music. Key pillars are innovation, education, talent development, and interdisciplinarity. The ensemble commissions composers for its own performances and initiates innovative projects in collaboration with partners. The orchestra's instrumentation consists of wind instruments with electric guitars, piano, and percussion.
Commissions and concerts are multidisciplinary, involving collaborations with singers, instrumentalists, (electronic) artists, dancers, theatre makers, and filmmakers. Over 400 commissioned compositions have already been performed.
Profile
The percussionist:
- has relevant playing experience with ensemble performance;
- has experience with the current Dutch music climate;
- masters the complete instrumentation of a percussionist in a contemporary ensemble;
- has an affinity for and interest in contemporary music;
- is available on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings for regular rehearsals;
- is flexible in the orchestra's scheduling;
- is characterized as a positively engaged team player who is naturally open;
- possesses social and communicative skills to collaborate substantively and pleasantly with orchestra members, composers, pupils, students, and conductors;
- has an affinity with the ensemble's objectives;
- finds it enjoyable and important to participate in music theatre productions and educational activities and productions in addition to regular concerts.

- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Music Ensembles, adhering to the Fair Practice Code and Fair Pay.
