Clinical Practice Supervisor Nephrology, Vascular and Transplant Surgery

Make an impact on healthcare today and tomorrow. As a Clinical Practice Supervisor, you combine direct patient care with coaching, guiding, and educating nurses and students. A varied role where you apply your nursing expertise and contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals.

This role is expected to evolve into a Nurse Educator position in the coming years. Therefore, a colleague is sought who not only enjoys guiding but is also enthusiastic about innovation, development, and collaboration.

The departments of Nephrology, Vascular Surgery, and Kidney Transplantation together form a unique care unit. Within this care unit, highly complex care is provided to patients with both internal and surgical conditions. The kidney transplant program is one of the largest in the country, and specialized vascular surgical care is offered to patients from a large part of a specific region.

The care unit has 37 nursing beds and specialized Vascular Care Unit beds for highly complex vascular surgical patients. This allows you to continuously develop yourself and be challenged by diverse care demands.

You will join a committed, expert, and pleasant team that supports each other. The students you supervise are part of this team. Each year, a new group of approximately 30 students (MBO-V and HBO-V) starts.

Active investments are made in learning and development. Through an internal academy and a learning platform, there is access to a wide range of training, courses, and e-learnings.

Outside of work, attention is also paid to job satisfaction and vitality, with vitality weeks, workshops, and inspiring meetings that contribute to health, sustainable employability, and personal development.

What you do

  • Guide students and nurses in training
  • Conduct evaluation and progress interviews
  • Support work supervisors and contribute to educational development
  • Remain active in patient care and be a visible role model
  • Collaborate with the nursing team, management, an internal academy, and regional training partners
  • Provide care to patients with, among other conditions, renal insufficiency, peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and patients undergoing kidney transplantation

Profile

  • HBO diploma in Nursing and BIG registration
  • Affinity with guiding, coaching
  • Experience in clinical patient care
  • Strong communication and connecting skills
  • A completed post-HBO training as a Clinical Practice Educator in Care & Welfare or the willingness to follow one
  • You take initiative, think in possibilities, and actively contribute to a positive learning and working environment
  • Nurses who do not yet fully meet all job requirements but wish to develop towards a clinical practice supervisor and subsequently a nurse educator role are also warmly invited to apply
