The organization accommodates young people aged 13 to 18 who need structure and regularity. These young people are supervised 24/7 to prepare them for independent living in an asylum seekers' center, their country of origin, or their own home in the Netherlands.
What you do
- Conduct regular mentoring interviews with the young people.
- Maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as guardians, schools, and general practitioners.
- Ensure a safe and livable residential environment.
- Be a visible point of contact for the young people.
- Work closely within a team and participate in meetings and intervision discussions.
What they ask
- Education: Relevant HBO or university degree in Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another degree within the Social Sciences.
- SKJ registration: You are SKJ registered or have the possibility to obtain this within two years.
- Work experience: Preferably work experience in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
- Personality: Be resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries.
- Flexibility: Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always waking shifts). This is a strict requirement.
- Candidates with a relevant MBO diploma combined with SKJ registration are also invited to apply.
Practical
- You always work with at least one other colleague.
- A team consists of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts.
