In this role, every day brings new challenges, special moments, and valuable contacts. You will join a team at a residential location where guidance, support, and personal attention are provided to residents with visual and intellectual disabilities, enabling them to live as independently and comfortably as possible. You will work in a care team of approximately 15 colleagues, jointly ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment. You will work independently during day shifts and with colleagues in the evenings.
Sleep shifts, typically a maximum of 2 per week, are part of the role to ensure continuity and a familiar environment.
What you do
- Guide adult clients with visual and intellectual disabilities. Some clients also have a mild physical disability.
- Assist with daily care (ADL support), when necessary or desired.
- Ensure a pleasant and calm living environment, with great attention to structure, safety, and stimulating independence.
- Observe clients and identify changes or issues.
- Report in the client file and execute the client plan.
- Work with the Triple-C method; training will be provided if you are not familiar with this methodology.

- A completed MBO level 3 education in care and welfare, such as Social Care or Nursing Assistant IG.
- An independent work attitude and the courage to take initiative.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to adapt your guidance style to the client's needs and level.
- Flexibility to work a varying schedule, both weekdays and weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to work different shifts.
- Willingness to perform sleep shifts.
Practical
- One-year contract with the intention to convert it into a permanent contract after one year.
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Disabled Care (CAO gehandicaptenzorg), FWG 35 (level 3).
