A shipyard is looking for a slipway worker. You will work at various locations and be responsible for dry-docking and towing ships. Safety is paramount.
What you will do.
- Perform activities related to mooring, unmooring, docking in and out, and placing ships on the slipway.
- Secure steel wires, ropes, and chains.
- Operate winches.
- Install gangways, dock bridges, and stairs.
- Maintain winches, chains, and other moving parts on the slipway and in the dock.
- Operate the floating crane for lifting and transporting sections.
- Maintain good contact with colleagues and promote teamwork.
- Make sound decisions regarding your safety and that of your colleagues.

- Willing to perform other tasks temporarily if there is less work.
- Values safety and always works safely.
- Good motivation and enthusiasm to work in shipbuilding.

- VCA diploma or willingness to obtain it.
