Information Security Officer

ZeelandHybrid34 hours/week<3months

You ensure that information remains secure and personal data is carefully protected within a government organization. You work in a unique and socially relevant work environment.

What you do

  • Advises management, leadership, and colleagues on information security and privacy.
  • Monitors compliance with laws and regulations, such as the Government Information Security Baseline (BIO 2), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Dutch standard for information security in healthcare (NEN 7510).
  • Conducts risk analyses.
  • Supports the preparation of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Guides audits.
  • Increases cyber resilience within the organization through awareness campaigns.
  • Investigates information security incidents and privacy breaches.
  • Translates findings into clear advice for management.
  • Supports ICT resource management, authorization management, and the implementation of the organization's applications in the absence of the local ICT administrator.
  • Serves as a point of contact for colleagues with ICT-related questions.

Profile

  • HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
  • Affinity/experience with information security, privacy, ICT, and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and/or ISO 27001.
  • Willingness to delve into BIO 2 if this knowledge is not yet present.
  • Affinity with business issues and risk management.
  • Analytical, accurate, integer, and able to connect different interests.

Practical

  • Fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of an indefinite contract (possibly with a probationary period of up to 1 month).
  • A motivation letter is required.
  • A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) will be requested upon a positive outcome of the application procedure.
  • If the required working and thinking level cannot be demonstrated with a diploma, it will be assessed with an aptitude test during the application procedure.
