Youth Worker

The organization accommodates young people aged 13 to 18 who need structure and regularity. These young people receive 24/7 guidance to prepare them for independent living.
What you will do.
- Conduct mentoring interviews with young people.
- Maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers (guardian, school, general practitioner).
- Ensure a safe and livable residential environment.
- Be a visible point of contact for the young people.
- Work closely within a team and participate in meetings and intervision discussions.
What they ask
- Relevant HBO or WO diploma (Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or other Social Sciences diploma).
- SKJ registration or the possibility to obtain it within two years.
- Preferably, work experience in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
- Be resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries.
- Flexibility for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are wake-up shifts).
- An MBO diploma with relevant SKJ registration is also negotiable.
Practical
- Work in a team of 15 to 40 employees, including residential counselors and behavioral experts.
- The organization values integrity and reliability; a pre-employment screening (VOG, diploma, and identity check) is part of the procedure.
