Information Manager

• You work at the intersection of operations, information provision, and IT for a specific defense component.
• You are the connecting link between the business and IT teams of an internal IT service provider.
• You ensure that information provision aligns with the organization's needs.
• You gather information needs, bottlenecks, and improvement points from various stakeholders.
• You translate these, together with a multidisciplinary team, into concrete IT solutions, projects, and improvement initiatives.
• You analyze issues, bring structure, and ensure a clear translation into project proposals, advice, and decision-making documents.
• You collaborate closely with functional administrators, project managers, solution architects, system managers, and technical specialists.
• You guide projects from an information management perspective and support the realization and implementation of new or improved IT solutions.
• You monitor that solutions align with the needs of the user organization.
• You connect people, processes, and technology and are a good discussion partner for both business and IT.
• You make complex issues understandable for different target groups.
• You play an important role as an experienced colleague, a point of contact for junior information managers, sharing your knowledge and contributing to the professionalization of the field.
• You combine a tactical view with a practical approach and ensure that plans are actually realized.
• You can be deployed in various areas such as border control, law enforcement, investigation, guarding, and security.

What they ask

• Completed HBO (higher professional education) or university degree, preferably in Business Information Management, Business Informatics, or similar.
• Several years of relevant work experience at the intersection of business and IT.
• Experience as an information manager, business analyst, functional administrator with a tactical role, or a similar position.
• Understanding of how business processes, information provision, and IT solutions are interconnected.
• Ability to analyze information needs and complex issues and translate them into concrete solutions, advice, improvement initiatives, and project proposals.
• Strong discussion partner for various stakeholders, easily switching between users and technical teams.
• Ability to create support within the organization.
• Proactive, independent, and organizationally sensitive.
• Experience with project-based work and drafting project documentation.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, and Prince2.
