Within a specific faculty, they are at the heart of this development. Many teachers want to work with AI but don't always know where to start. Therefore, a creative and hands-on AI Designer for Education is sought to develop innovative and practical AI applications for education in collaboration with teachers.
What you will do. As an AI Designer for Education, you will support teachers in designing and applying AI in their education. You will translate technological possibilities into concrete learning activities and practical solutions that can be directly implemented. In this way, you actively contribute to the AI literacy of both students and teachers and help ensure a responsible and meaningful use of AI in education. Your activities will include:
- Supporting teachers in designing AI education, both one-on-one and in groups of teachers with various backgrounds
- Developing and testing AI applications for students and teachers
- Monitoring and identifying relevant AI trends within and outside higher education
- Consulting and collaborating with various departments within the faculty and university involved in AI applications and educational innovation
Profile
- Curious, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about AI and educational innovation
- Completed HBO or WO education, for example in AI, data science, software development, educational technology, cognitive science, educational sciences, or a comparable study
- Demonstrable experience with AI or software applications, for example through internships, projects, research, or personal initiatives
- Enjoys making new technologies practically applicable
- Communicative and able to clearly explain complex technology
- Accurate and solution-oriented
- Values quality, safety, and responsible use of AI and actively promotes this
- Proficient in both Dutch and English, both orally and in writing
Preferences.
- Experience with AI integrations, LLMs, or conversational AI
- Knowledge of prompt engineering or AI workflows
- Educational insight or interest in learning and didactics
