This care organization supports the most vulnerable in society. Driven by Christian motivation, they provide assistance to adults and children who need support in the areas of (mental) health, (protected) housing, finances, work, and upbringing. You will work together with an expert team, with room for your own initiative.
What you will do.
- Offer children and young people (4–21 years) who cannot live at home a stable and safe place within your own family.
- Take one or more children into your family and provide them with a home where they feel safe and can develop.
- Understand that out-of-home placement is a profound event and that children often have experienced a lot in their young lives, which can influence their behavior and development.
- Tailor upbringing and guidance to what each child individually needs.
- Be involved 24/7 with the children living with you, which is an intensive and long-term responsibility.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, such as a behavioral scientist and case manager, who will provide input and support where necessary.
What they ask
- A minimum of an mbo-4 diploma in a pedagogical or social field.
- SKJ-registered or willing to obtain this through additional training.
- A realistic understanding of what a family home requires from you and your family.
- Enjoy working independently and feel comfortable with the responsibility of running your own family home.
- Be open to guidance and reflection and be transparent about what is going well and where you need help.
- Be a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, etc.) and be able to articulate what that means to you.
Practical
- Entrepreneurship with security: you invoice as an independent entrepreneur through the organization. The organization handles the administration with municipalities and ensures financial continuity.
- Collaboration: you work as an independent family home parent with the organization and retain control over your own family home. You will be part of a network of family home parents.
- Support: professional guidance by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including a behavioral scientist and case manager.
- A thorough screening procedure will follow, including interviews about motivation, life history, and family situation, as well as an assessment.
- Upon employment, you must be able to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
