As a childcare worker, you are responsible for the care of children from the end of maternity leave until they go to school. You ensure safe and high-quality care for children in accordance with the pedagogical project of the childcare facility. Quality is central, with a conscious choice for 1 supervisor per 7 children to guarantee personal attention, a safe environment, and prevention of overload.
What you do
- Care for children with a focus on hygiene, safety
- Offer appropriate play activities
- Promote communicative skills, language development, and independence in children
- Maintain the relationship with parents with a view to a partnership for the harmonious development of the children
- Create a sense of security for the children
- Act appropriately in case of illnesses and accidents
Profile
- A heart for children and able to apply childcare techniques
- Flexible and a good team player
- Able to communicate fluently in Dutch and adapt vocabulary to the conversation partner (children, parents, colleagues)
- Insight into the individual development of each child within a group
- Always able to propose activities adapted to the age of the children under your responsibility
- Proficient in first aid and resuscitation techniques
What they ask
- Valid certificate for life-saving actions (max 3 years old)
- Diploma childcare worker for babies and toddlers or qualification certificate childcare worker for babies and toddlers, recognized by a relevant government agency
- Diploma or certificate of higher secondary education or a diploma that grants access to higher education (Level C)
