Private plot disconnection expert

As a disconnection expert, you are responsible for the preparation, follow-up, and quality handling of disconnection files at plot level. You map existing drainage situations, develop technical solutions, and guide owners or residents through the process of correctly separating wastewater and rainwater. In doing so, you take into account applicable regulations, internal guidelines, VLAREM II, Aquaflanders and/or VLARIO, and the principles of good craftsmanship.

What you do

  • You conduct preliminary studies and collect necessary data from municipalities, cities, cadastral services, and other involved parties.
  • You organize site visits and make appointments with owners and residents.
  • You inventory existing drainage situations, including pipes, discharge points, roof drains, pavements, pits, and potential bottlenecks.
  • You prepare a complete disconnection file per plot with floor plans, photo report, info sheet, bill of quantities, and cost estimate.
  • You develop technical designs for the separation of wastewater and rainwater, with attention to infiltration, reuse, buffering, and connection to public domain.
  • You explain proposals to owners and guide the signing of execution forms.
  • You follow up on files via the online platform and keep overview tables correct and up-to-date.
  • You provide support during execution, perform site supervision where necessary, and assist in preparing or checking as-built plans.
  • You collaborate with clients, contractors, inspection bodies, and sewer managers.

What they ask

  • You have a technical affinity with sewerage, drainage, road works, water management, or infrastructure projects.
  • You work accurately and can clearly analyze technical situations and translate them into practical solutions.
  • You are familiar with plans, bills of quantities, site measurements, and technical reporting.
  • Knowledge of disconnection studies, VLAREM II, rainwater regulations, Aquaflanders, VLARIO guidelines is a strong asset.
  • You communicate smoothly with owners, residents, clients, and contractors.
  • You think practically, avoid unnecessary hindrance, and always look for the most feasible and cost-efficient solution.
  • You can work independently, but also function well within a project team.
  • You are administratively strong and follow up on files in a structured manner.
  • You can provide at least 2 references with a satisfaction certificate.

Profile

  • Required studies: Bachelor or Master, or equivalent by experience.
  • Language skills: Dutch (Very good).
